Career Speaker: Yash Chhabra, PhD

Yash Chhabra, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Cancer Signaling and Microenvironment program at Fox Chase Cancer Center. His laboratory’s research efforts are aimed at deciphering systemic and tumor microenvironmental factors underlying age and sex disparity in non-reproductive solid cancers. The goal of his research is to determine why certain cancers (like melanoma) are more aggressive and treatment refractory in aged patients and how intersectionality of age and sex regulates numerous facets of tumor progression, immune response, and therapeutic outcomes.
