International Patient Services at Fox Chase Cancer Center

International patients, please contact
InternationalMedicine@fccc.edu

Thank you for your inquiry about the international patient services provided by Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC). We welcome people from all over the world for oncology assessments, treatment and clinical trials. In addition, we offer remote second reviews for patients that will not be traveling to our center.

Please know that after physician approval, we are able to offer any of the following options to our international patients:

  • Assessment and treatment at FCCC
(best option for patients who are able to travel to Philadelphia)
In this case the patient sends all the medical reports, pathology and diagnostic imaging material for review before an appointment will be scheduled.
  • Remote second review and treatment plan
(best option for patients who are unable to travel to Philadelphia)
In this case our physician(s) will generate a medical report based on the submitted medical records, diagnostic images and pathology material. Pathology material submitted will involve added cost related to pathology review and sample processing if required.
After the completion of a remote second review videoconferencing is available if requested. (This will entail additional cost. This service is physician to physician only)
  • Philadelphia International Medicine
Philadelphia International Medicine (PIM) is an off campus collaborator working to ensure that all non‐US resident patients have the support and resources needed to secure a positive patient experience. If you decide to come to FCCC for care we will share your information with PIM. PIM’s patient services coordinator and FCCC’s international liaison will work together to assist you and manage your case.
  • Language Services
Fox Chase provides interpretation services to non-English speaking patients as needed and free of charge. The goal of our interpreters is to ensure clear communication with your healthcare team. Interpreter services can be provided over the phone or in person.

Clinical Trials

Participation in clinical trials is dependent on meeting specific eligibility requirements.  Clinical trial patients will be managed directly and solely by FCCC. For your convenience a welcome letter will be provided to assist with a visa request once the physician has reviewed your records and determined that you are a good candidate for a clinical trial.
