PHILADELPHIA (October 1, 2021)—The Bucks County Chapter of the Board of Associates of Fox Chase Cancer Center will host its 24th annual art show and sale in memory of George Bramhall.  Proceeds will benefit small cell lung cancer (SCLC) research at Fox Chase. This virtual art show and sale will take place from October 1 through November 30, 2021. Due to COVID-19 risks, this virtual event will temporarily replace the popular two-day in-person art show that has taken place annually.

The research, to be carried out by the laboratory of Johnathan Whetstine, PhD, the institute’s director, will help identify new indications and potential biomarkers for Salarius’ lead drug candidate, seclidemstat.

PHILADELPHIA (September 17, 2021)—Results from the phase 3 INVICTUS clinical trial show that the drug ripretinib, also known by its brand name Qinlock, provides clinically meaningful improvement in overall median survival for patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) when compared with placebo.
