PHILADELPHIA (October 14, 2021)—A recent study by Fox Chase Cancer Center scientists provides new insight into the mechanism that controls DNA replication timing (RT), a process that is controlled during development and dysfunctional in diseases such as cancer.

PHILADELPHIA (October 13, 2021)—Gary Barbera’s on the Boulevard, a family owned and operated Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram car dealership in Philadelphia, will donate $50 to Fox Chase Cancer Center for every car sold during October as part of their “Kick Cancer to the Curb” program. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

PHILADELPHIA (October 6, 2021)—Fox Chase Cancer Center recently welcomed a new class of 21 Biomedical Sciences graduate students from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University to introduce them to research faculty with whom they can do scientific rotations and ultimately their thesis research.

PHILADELPHIA (October 6, 2021)—Hossein Borghaei, DO, MS, chief of the Division of Thoracic Medical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has been named one of three winners of the second annual Lung Cancer Heroes awards program.

PHILADELPHIA (October 5, 2021)—In a recently published study, a researcher at Fox Chase Cancer Center outlined new methods for handling heterogeneous data types from large-scale studies. These studies generate genomic profiles with the goal of identifying subgroups of patients who may have a better prognosis or benefit from a particular treatment.

PHILADELPHIA (October 1, 2021)—The Bucks County Chapter of the Board of Associates of Fox Chase Cancer Center will host its 24th annual art show and sale in memory of George Bramhall.  Proceeds will benefit small cell lung cancer (SCLC) research at Fox Chase. This virtual art show and sale will take place from October 1 through November 30, 2021. Due to COVID-19 risks, this virtual event will temporarily replace the popular two-day in-person art show that has taken place annually. 

PHILADELPHIA (September 27, 2021)—In a recent study, a researcher at Fox Chase Cancer Center outlined new methods for predicting cancer survival and outcomes from studies that utilize large-scale genomic profiling of tumor samples from different cancers.
