Diana Kott, DNP, RN, OCN, NPD-BC, Senior Accredited Provider Program Coordinator at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has been recognized with a 2025 Nightingale Award of Pennsylvania in the Doctor of Nursing Practice category. The Nightingale Awards celebrate excellence in nursing across the commonwealth, honoring professionals who exemplify leadership, innovation, and a commitment to advancing patient care.

Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Saumya Maru, MD, PhD, as an Assistant Professor in the clinical investigator/scientist track in the Department of Hematology/Oncology. Maru will see patients at Fox Chase, Temple Health – Jeanes Campus, and Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital Campus.

Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of André Kydd, MD, PhD, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology. He will see patients at Fox Chase and Temple University Hospital.

Marcin Chwistek, MD, FAAHPM, Director of Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Supportive Oncology and Palliative Care Program, has completed Harvard Medical School’s prestigious Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership (SQIL) program, where his capstone project on Goal Concordant Care was recognized as one of the top three among nearly 100 participants from around the world.

Fox Chase Cancer Center has been honored with the 2025 Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) Innovator Award for its pioneering Ambulatory Care Excellence (ACE) model. Developed by Fox Chase nurses, the initiative is designed to improve efficiency, care coordination, and patient outcomes in ambulatory cancer care.

It is a favorite event among faculty and staff, patients and caregivers, neighbors, and community members. The Paws for the Cause Dog Walk, now in its 26th year, took place at Fox Chase Cancer Center on a sunny Sunday morning this September.
