PHILADELPHIA (November 3, 2025) — Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Pooja Lothe, MD, MBA, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology. Lothe will see patients at Fox Chase, Temple Health – Jeanes Campus, and Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital Campus.
Lothe joins Fox Chase with several years of clinical experience in medical oncology and hematology, most recently serving as a physician with Tower Health Oncology in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. She brings a broad-based approach to cancer care, with expertise in both solid tumor and hematologic malignancies, and a longstanding commitment to improving quality and access in oncology.
Lothe completed her fellowship in hematology and oncology at Drexel University College of Medicine-Hahnemann Hospital, where she also completed her residency in internal medicine. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and a bachelor’s in business administration from The George Washington University.
She is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology, and maintains active memberships in the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American College of Physicians.
Lothe has participated in multiple research and quality improvement initiatives throughout her training and clinical practice. Her work has been presented at a number of professional meetings, including the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research, and the Pennsylvania Society of Hematology. She has published abstracts on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cost analysis of treatment strategies for sickle cell anemia in Blood.
In addition to her clinical and academic work, Lothe has also participated in institutional quality improvement efforts and supports education through tumor board presentations and mentoring activities.
Lothe began her tenure at Fox Chase on September 14.
