When the Office of Clinical Research is alerted a new faculty member is being hired, we provide individualized introductory presentations to that PI and his or her whole team. Topics covered include:
- Industry agreements
- Budget basics
- Research billing
- Central administrative tasks (study registration, participant registration, flagging research orders, best practices in operations, business process flow and clinicaltrials.gov obligations)

- APCR Professional Development
- Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP): provides the fundamentals of ACRP PI certification, even if one is not seeking certification
- Biomedical Research Alliance of New York (BRANY): offers excellent investigator education courses
