PHILADELPHIA (November 18, 2021)—In a recent study using liquid biopsies and tumor tissue biomarkers, researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center found that PARP inhibitors and PD-1/PDL1 blocking immunotherapy could be considered an effective treatment in eligible inflammatory breast cancer patients.

PHILADELPHIA (November 15, 2021)— Gary Barbera and his Barbera Cares Ambassadors of Gary Barbera’s on the Boulevard, in partnership with State Representative Jared G. Solomon, will present a check for $10,000 to Fox Chase Cancer Center on November 22, money that will help improve the lives of patients and families affected by breast cancer.

PHILADELPHIA (November 9, 2021)—Cihangir Duy, PhD, MS, an assistant professor in the Cancer Signaling and Epigenetics Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has been awarded a one-year $100,000 Hollis Brownstein Research Grant from The Leukemia Research Foundation. The grant will fund research into how certain acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells can reactivate following chemotherapy, thus causing disease relapse.
