Visitor Information

Updated: October 4, 2023

If someone has a cold, sore throat, infectious disease or fever, they should not visit any patient room, as cancer patients may be prone to catching an illness.

Visitor Policy

Fox Chase Main Campus

Outpatient Visitors

At our Main Campus, patients can bring two visitors to their outpatient appointments. While outpatient visitors are not required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, we strongly encourage them to be for the safety of those in our care.

Our cafeteria and café are open to visitors as well.

Inpatient Visitors

Patients in the Intensive Care Unit are allowed two visitors between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Patients in all other units are allowed two visitors between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Family Surgical Waiting Area: Two visitors are allowed.

Visitors must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after their final vaccine dose) and must bring proof of vaccination to be allowed into the inpatient area.

Fox Chase Outpatient Facilities

At each of our outpatient facilities, patients can bring one visitor to their appointments. During radiation treatments, infusions and outpatient procedures, visitors may sit in our regular waiting areas.

Child Visitation Policies

Children 12 years old and older are permitted to visit with patients on the medical and surgical units. Only one child at a time may be in a patient room and must be accompanied by an adult chaperone at all times.

Children under 18 years old may not visit a patient treated for radiation, Intensive Care Unit, or in rooms of patients in isolation.
