PHILADELPHIA (July 23, 2021) – Although it improved certain aspects of adaptive coping among prostate cancer survivors, a small randomized, controlled trial found use of PROGRESS, a web-based intervention developed at Fox Chase Cancer Center, did not fully address coping and psychosocial demands.

PHILADELPHIA (July 22, 2021)—In a study published today in JAMA Oncology, researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center found that the odds of a patient undergoing prostate cancer surgery were lower among Black patients compared with white patients during the initial wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fox Chase Researchers Find That Astrocytes Generated by Tumor Cells Contribute to SHH-Driven Medulloblastoma Relapse

PHILADELPHIA (July 13, 2021)—Researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center have recently shown that sonic hedgehog-driven (SHH) medulloblastoma relapse may be prevented by targeting the transdifferentiation—a cell’s ability to convert from one type of cell to another—of astrocytes.
