Emmie I. Chen, MD

I have had the privilege of working with the many wonderful patients and colleagues here at Fox Chase Cancer Center since 2008.  I am proud to have developed a strong team of practitioners from various disciplines to help patients and families cope with the challenging task of facing cancer and other complicated illnesses.

Cancer and illness affect our lives in many ways.  From time of diagnosis to treatment and survivorship, each stage brings its own unique set of challenges.  We strive to support patients of various ages and backgrounds to navigate the life changes they face.  

Here at Fox Chase, we are in a unique position to collaborate closely with the patient’s care teams.  This allows us to be sensitive to the patient’s entire illness experience and better understand and monitor their treatment. 

My experience with various modalities of psychotherapy allows me to provide a range of treatment options, from “talk” therapy to medication management to help improve the quality of life of patients and their caregivers.  We work closely as a team within our division in order to combine our expertise so that our patients get the best and most compassionate evidence-based care.
