Health Education: The Speakers Bureau
Are you part of a group that would like to know more about cancer and cancer prevention?
The Office of Community Outreach offers one-hour educational sessions where you will learn about cancer risk, screening, treatment options, and tips for staying healthy. Our sessions are free and are offered in English and Spanish. We serve community groups located in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties.
Speakers Bureau talks are given by our trained health education staff. We can tailor the session to the needs of your group. The current list of topics we can present to your group include:
Being Cancer Smart: Learn about cancer risk, screening, treatment options and tips for staying healthy. This session can focus on any of the following cancer topics:
- Breast cancer
- Cervical cancer
- Colorectal cancer
- Lung cancer
- Ovarian cancer
- Prostate cancer
- Skin cancer
Understanding Clinical Trials: Learn more about how researchers have made advances in cancer care and treatment through clinical trials, and opportunities for you to participate.
