Adrenal Tumors
Scientists have found few risk factors that make a person more likely to develop adrenal gland tumors.
Inherited adrenal tumor clues
The majority of adrenal cortex tumors are not inherited, but up to 15 percent are caused by a genetic defect associated with genetic syndromes such as Li-Fraumeni syndrome, Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, Multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN1), Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), and Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer.
