PHILADELPHIA (December 22, 2017) – Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine are pleased to announce the winners of its American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant (IRG) Pilot Project Competition for Junior Investigators: Sergei Grivennikov, PhD, and Elias Obeid, MD, MPH, assistant professors at Fox Chase, and Rongsheng (Ross) Wang, PhD, assistant professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.

Jason A. Incorvati Joins Department of Hematology/Oncology at New Fox Chase Cancer Center East Norriton Campus

PHILADELPHIA (December 14, 2017) – Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Jason A. Incorvati, MD, who will join the Department of Hematology/Oncology as an assistant professor, and will treat patients at the new Fox Chase Cancer Center East Norriton Hospital Outpatient Center and also see breast cancer patients at the main Fox Chase campus, beginning January 1st, 2018.

Autologous Stem Cell Transplant at Key Point Remains Most Effective Therapy for Younger Mantle Cell Lymphoma Patients

PHILADELPHIA (December 10, 2017) – According to a new study, autologous hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) administered in first remission led to longer overall survival in younger patients with mantle cell lymphoma. Researchers found that patients who received HCT once initial chemotherapy had caused remission experienced a 40 percent improvement in progression free survival and more than 20 increase in overall survival compared with eligible patients who did not receive it.
