Ethnic Composition of Neighborhood May Influence Cancer Risk

PHILADELPHIA (FEBRUARY 7, 2018) – A new paper in the journal Cancer finds that living in ethnic enclaves or areas of high segregation was associated with positive and negative effects on cancer risk, stage at diagnosis, and mortality. Findings varied among the ethnicities and types of cancer being studied.

PHILADELPHIA (January 16, 2018) – Nurses who have graduated from a BSN program who are interested in joining the Fox Chase team are welcome, Sunday, January 28th, 2018. PHILADELPHIA (December 22, 2017) – Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine are pleased to announce the winners of its American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant (IRG) Pilot Project Competition for Junior Investigators: Sergei Grivennikov, PhD, and Elias Obeid, MD, MPH, assistant professors at Fox Chase, and Rongsheng (Ross) Wang, PhD, assistant professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
