David M. Gosky, MA, MBA, Vice President of Cancer Research Operations at Fox Chase Cancer Center–Temple Health, has concluded his tenure as Treasurer of the Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI), capping six years of leadership marked by significant financial growth, organizational improvements, and initiatives to strengthen cancer centers nationwide.

National Cancer Institute (NCI) Director Anthony Letai, MD, PhD, called on cancer centers to accelerate the opening of clinical trials and expand patient participation in research. He made his remarks during an October 15 visit to Fox Chase Cancer Center—Temple Health, where he also announced plans to incorporate clinical trial performance into the NCI's evaluation of its designated cancer centers.

Richard J. Bleicher, MD, FACS, Chief of the Division of Breast Surgery and Temple Health’s Clinical Director of the Breast Service Line, has been selected to serve as Chair of the American College of Surgeons’ (ACS) National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and Chair of its Executive Committee.
