Fox Chase Cancer Center Welcomes Dr. Jason Conger

 Jason Conger, MD, an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology

PHILADELPHIA (October 6, 2025) — Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Jason Conger, MD, as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. In addition to seeing patients at the main campus and Fox Chase – Buckingham, Conger will also provide services at Temple Health – Jeanes Campus.


Prior to taking on this new role, Conger was a Gynecological Oncology Fellow at Fox Chase and Temple University Hospital. Before that, he was an intern at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Magee-Womens Hospital. During his time there, he earned several honors, including the Clinical Chief Resident Award, the Fundamentals of Laparoscopy Olympic Champion Award, and the Society for Gynecologic Oncology Residency Award.


After earning his bachelor’s degree in biology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Conger went to Augusta University Medical College of Georgia for his medical degree. While there, he received the Daniel B. Sullivan Scholarship, the Office of Admission Award of Appreciation, and the Medical Scholar Research Grant. He was also inducted into the Dean’s Clinical Honor Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.


Throughout his career, Conger has contributed to numerous written publications, presentations, and research projects. He has researched the impact of body mass index on chemotherapy dosing and survival in endometrial cancer and later presented a poster on this topic at the Society of Gynecologic Oncology’s annual meeting.


He has also worked with a number of research teams on topics as varied as determining the risk of secondary ovarian malignancy after the treatment of cervical cancer and optimization of the preoperative hysterectomy pathway to minimize surgical site infection risk.


Conger began his tenure at Fox Chase on September 1.
