Treatment Philosophy

I am honored to be part of the Gynecologic Oncology team at Fox Chase Cancer Center. I chose this field because I believe caring for patients with gynecologic cancers requires not only medical expertise but also genuine compassion and understanding. My goal is to provide the kind of care I would want for my own loved ones—treatment that is thorough, individualized, and delivered with kindness.

As a gynecologic oncologist, I specialize in both the surgical and medical management of cancers of the uterus, cervix, ovary, vulva, and vagina. I work closely with each patient to develop treatment plans that reflect their personal values and priorities. I also collaborate with colleagues in radiation oncology and palliative care to ensure that every patient receives comprehensive, well-rounded care.

At Fox Chase, I am grateful to be part of a center that offers not only cutting-edge surgical and medical treatments, but also a wealth of resources designed to support patients and families through every stage of their journey. I recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects not just the patient, but their entire support system. My goal is to provide care that is compassionate, honest, and empowering—helping patients and their families navigate complex decisions with clarity and confidence. Above all, I am committed to walking alongside my patients every step of the way, so they never feel alone in their care.

Dr. Jason Conger is the real deal - I would rate him a 20 out of 10.From the very beginning of my surgical journey to the very end, Dr. Conger kept me fully informed, answered every question with impressive depth and clarity, and remained kind, reassuring, down-to-earth, and incredibly patient. He helped me relax and truly put me at ease throughout the entire experience. My robotic surgery lasted about four hours, and he and the outstanding team at Jeanes Hospital were steady, precise, and highly professional. Jeanes partners with Fox Chase Cancer Center, interchanging campuses seamlessly - and I can confidently say that this collaboration does not affect the quality of care one bit. If anything, it strengthens it. I especially appreciate that it is a teaching hospital.I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. They walked me through everything like I was a toddler taking my very first steps - and in many ways, I was! I would also like to recognize Dr. [...] the resident assisting Dr. [...] along with their fellow, Dr. [...] Both were professional, focused, and an important part of the surgical team. [...] I do not say this lightly - the care was exceptional.A heartfelt thank you to the incredible OR staff who attended to me during surgery. The circulating and scrub nurses - [...] - were outstanding. (And yes my apologies in advance for being such a hairy Italian lady! )In anesthesia, I would like to acknowledge [...] the attending anesthesiologist, who not only cared for me expertly but also took the time to speak with my husband frequently, reassuring him and putting his mind at ease given his previous difficult experience with anesthesia. That meant more to us than words can express.Thank you also to [...] CRNPs, for their excellent care and professionalism. And a very special shout-out to [...] in anesthesia - what a wonderful personality and smile. Just a genuinely good guy who made a stressful day lighter. From [...] who coordinated my surgery and outpatient testing, to every individual in Same Day Surgery and PACU - each person stood out in their own unique and wonderful way.My surgery ran late, until about 6 p.m., and when I say I received red-carpet treatment in PACU before discharge, I truly mean it. A special thank you to [...] my PACU nurse, along with the rest of the team - at least four nurses met every need with compassion, attentiveness, and excellence. If I have unintentionally forgotten anyone's name, please forgive me - every single person made a difference. From Dr. Conger to the immediate and extended healthcare team at Temple Health, I felt I was in the very best hands from start to finish.I would wholeheartedly recommend Fox Chase and Temple Health to anyone sitting in shock after hearing the words, "you have cancer." It is truly a blow to the gut - but being cared for by a team like this makes all the difference. If you're able to acknowledge and thank this remarkable team for me, I would appreciate it. I know how difficult this may be. You should appreciate , acknowledge and Inform them all of how remarkable they are, and how lucky your facility is to have them. Thanks so much for saving my life !!!
