Treatment Philosophy
For a cancer patient the ideal treatment maximizes quality of life, while minimizing side effects. My philosophy as an oncologist is to guide the patient toward achieving this goal. I strive to ensure that patients and their families have a comprehensive understanding of their disease and available treatment options. In addition, I believe a patient deserves to be treated functionally, emotionally, and socially, as a whole person. By being a part of Fox Chase Cancer Center, I will be working with a team devoted to making this happen.
After completing my fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, I am excited to join Fox Chase and the vibrant medical community in Philadelphia. I was immediately impressed by the collegiality of the faculty and staff, as well as the multidisciplinary approach to their care. I am enthusiastic about being involved in the treatment of a variety of solid tumors.

Patient comments
This team saved my life and keeping me cancer free. Thanks
It is always a pleasure to work with Dr Giri and the team. They are a professional, caring and knowledgeable group who always go beyond surface issues to make sure I am okay.
This was a combination visit, was a routine check up but had questions about new chemo side effects and dosage for that day. Dr Giri handled all questions, staff took me into the exam room promptly, and they brought my son over to me after the exam. No complaints :)
Dr. Giri is an excellent medical oncology. I am fortunate to have him as my oncologist. He always takes the necessary time to listen to me. He is proactive and compassionate. The quality of his care is excellent.
Dr. Giri and the team as well as the CRU team are always top notch in their treatment of me.
