Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC) is an academic, NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center within the Temple University Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Members of the Gastroenterology Section at FCCC see patients with a wide range of complex disorders, both neoplastic and non-neoplastic, and are regionally and nationally recognized for their clinical and academic activities. In 2007, the group established an Advanced Endoscopy (AE) training program (aka, “4th year”) which offers training in a breadth of endoscopic modalities, including ERCP (e.g., normal & surgically-altered anatomy, complex malignant biliary obstruction cases, etc.), endoscopic ultrasound, therapeutic interventions for Barrett's esophagus (endoscopic resection, radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation), management of anastomotic leaks, enteral stenting, device-assisted deep enteroscopy and complex polypectomy, amongst others. As with all AE training programs in the United States, the FCCC AE program is not ACGME-accredited.
