More than 100 community members, cancer survivors, advocates, researchers, healthcare professionals, and public health leaders gathered at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University for the Philadelphia Communities Conquering Cancer (PC3) City Wide Cancer Conference.

Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Mobile Screening Program plays a vital role in delivering cancer screening and prevention services directly to communities throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. By delivering care outside traditional clinical settings, the program helps address barriers such as transportation challenges, inflexible work schedules, and lack of insurance.

As he begins his new role as Cancer Center Director, Dr. Winn sees Fox Chase in position to shape the future of cancer research both in the local community and beyond - and that a new era of progress will depend on strong partnerships, new approaches to data and technology, and a deeper understanding of the communities served by cancer centers.

Fox Chase Cancer Center's 3,000th bone marrow transplant marks nearly four decades of specialized care for patients with blood cancers.

Temple Health’s Fox Chase Cancer Center, one of only 57 NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers, announced a new clinical trial collaboration with Labcorp, a global leader of innovative and comprehensive laboratory services. The study will evaluate Labcorp Plasma Detect Genome MRD, a highly sensitive, tumor-informed, whole-genome sequencing-based test, to assess risk of recurrence in patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer.

Cancer is largely a disease of aging. Most people diagnosed with cancer are in their 60s, 70s, or older, yet much of what scientists know about cancer and how to treat it comes from studies that do not reflect that reality.

For most people, cancer is discovered only after it has already taken hold. By then, treatment can be complex, difficult, and life‑altering. But what if cancer could be stopped before it becomes dangerous? That possibility is driving an innovative approach known as cancer interception, and Fox Chase Cancer Center is among a small group of institutions helping define this emerging approach.
