PHILADELPHIA (June 7, 2023)—Jennifer Barsky Reese, PhD, FSBM, an associate professor in the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, will address the topic of the sexual concerns of cancer survivors on June 13 as part of the National Cancer Institute’s Office of Cancer Survivorship Director’s Series.

Reese’s presentation will focus on interventions to improve sexual health outcomes, relationships, and quality of life for those affected by cancer. The title of her webinar will be “Sexual Concerns of Cancer Survivors: Are We Close to Addressing This Unmet Need?”

“I am very excited to be presenting information on this topic for the Office of Cancer Survivorship. This invitation underscores the growing recognition of the importance of addressing sexual health and quality of life for individuals after cancer,” said Reese.

The Office of Cancer Survivorship Director’s Series webinars serve as an avenue for promoting a better understanding of the unique needs of the growing population of cancer survivors. Each webinar focuses on research that examines and addresses the long- and short-term physical, psychological, social, and economic effects of cancer and its treatment among pediatric and adult survivors of cancer and their families.
