Registrants for Together in Teal are invited to the NOCC Car Parade of Hope scheduled to take place at Fox Chase beginning at 10 am on September 12, 2021. Participants will drive through the campus of Fox Chase to demonstrate their dedication and commitment to the cause. Medical representatives from Fox Chase will provide welcome remarks and the parade will be streamed live on social media. To take part, register here.

The virtual Together in Teal event will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, for all participating cities across the United States. An online national broadcast celebration at 7 p.m. will bring these cities together as one to witness featured stories celebrating the accomplishments of the teal community. The funds raised will provide support for raising awareness of ovarian cancer, research, and community outreach.

“Although the pandemic has kept us apart, we are excited to participate in this virtual event,” said Gina Mantia-Smaldone, MD, associate professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology, who will lead the Fox Chase team this year.

“It is a privilege to care for women with ovarian cancer, and there is a definite need to support research and clinical trials that will improve the prognosis and quality of life of our patients. By partnering with NOCC, we hope to work to eradicate this disease.”

Fox Chase has been a supporter of the NOCC for 23 years and is a market partner for this year’s event. Participants are invited to get active in any way they like, whether it be running, walking, skipping, or jumping. There will also be social media challenges leading up to the event that can be found on the NOCC’s Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
