Fox Chase Cancer Center Welcomes Iberia Romina Sosa

PHILADELPHIA (July 22, 2019) – Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Iberia Romina Sosa, MD, PhD, to the department of Hematology/Oncology. She is an assistant professor in the Clinical Investigator track. Sosa will provide hematologic consultation services at all Fox Chase locations.

Sosa comes to Fox Chase from the Baylor College of Medicine, where she was an assistant professor in the department of Hematology/Oncology. She is a board certified in internal medicine and hematology, serves on the editorial board for Hematology News, and is a member of the SWOG/NCI Cancer Research Cooperative Group. She received her MD and PhD from the University of Minnesota, and completed a residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Recently, Sosa was named to the Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars list for 2019.

Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Department of Hematology is staffed with medical oncologists who are regional and national leaders in the field. As part of the multidisciplinary cancer treatment team, they help determine personalized treatment plans for specific cancers and have access to tremendous range of anticancer treatments.

Sosa will begin at Fox Chase on August 1, 2019.
