Rashmi Khanal Joins Department of Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center

PHILADELPHIA (September 1, 2017) – Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Rashmi Khanal, who will join the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center as part of the Jeanes Hospital Consultative Service.

Khanal earned her medical degree from Jahurul Islam Medical College and Hospital at Dhaka University in Bajitpur, Bangladesh. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey before joining Seidman Cancer Center as a hospitalist in Cleveland, Ohio. Khanal completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.

Edelman, chair of the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase. “We are fortunate to have her join our staff and look forward to all that she will bring to our patients.  She has received excellent training at the NCI designated MUSC Comprehensive Cancer Center and comes with outstanding recommendations.  She will add considerable depth to our expanding program at Jeanes Hospital. ”

Khanal will begin on September 1, 2017.
