Reza Nejati, MD, Joins Department of Pathology at Fox Chase Cancer Center

PHILADELPHIA (August 15, 2017) – Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Reza Nejati, MD, as a hematopathologist in the Department of Pathology.

“Fox Chase Cancer Center provides innovative care with compassion and strives to develop cutting-edge therapies for patients,” said Nejati. “I look forward to joining my new colleagues in delivering this high standard of care.”

Nejati comes to Fox Chase from the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed a fellowship in hematopathology. He received his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, and he completed his residency training in anatomical and clinical pathology at both Iran University of Medical Sciences and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Nejati completed a surgical pathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is Board Certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology.

“Dr. Nejati brings a depth of knowledge and international scope that will benefit our team here at Fox Chase,” said Arthur Patchefsky, MD, chair of the Department of Pathology. “His experience, both here in the United States and internationally, is a key asset to the growth and direction our department strives for.”

Nejati will start his new role at Fox Chase on August 15, 2017.
