A multinational China-based healthcare group and Fox Chase Cancer Center entered into a partnership under which Fox Chase will assist with the establishment of a biosample repository in China. While many biorepositories exist in China, at present, none operate in full compliance with best international practices or contain enough samples of adequate quality to meet the large and growing demand of Chinese research facilities, domestic or international pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology industries. The facility seeks to source large, untapped patient volumes from reputable partner hospitals in China, coupled with the demonstrated expertise and commitment of key enterprise participants.
About Our Partnership
Professional Services Agreement under which Fox Chase provides consulting services relating to the establishment of a well-organized biosample repository in China that coordinates the ethical collection, storage, annotation and distribution of tissue (normal and disease) and other samples such as blood, urine, bone marrow and stool.
