Gregory Hemenway, MD

Gregory Hemenway, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University Hospital.

He cares for patients with solid tumor malignancies, with a clinical and research focus on genitourinary cancers. Dr. Hemenway brings extensive training in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology, along with a strong background in clinical and translational cancer research.

Dr. Hemenway completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Fellow during his final year of training. He previously completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University Hospital. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in biology and minors in neuroscience and chemistry.

Throughout his training, Dr. Hemenway has demonstrated a strong interest in clinical investigation and the development of innovative cancer therapies. His research has included prospective interventional clinical trials and studies aimed at improving treatment options and patient outcomes. He has authored peer-reviewed publications, contributed to textbook chapters, and presented his work at national and international meetings, including ASCO, AACR, ASH, and the World Conference on Lung Cancer.
