3rd Annual Fight Against Melanoma

The Edwards Family will host a beef and beer to honor the life and legacy of David Edwards who passed away in 2014 from an aggressive form of melanoma. There will be great food, raffles, a Chinese Auction, and entertainment. Proceeds from this event will support melanoma research at Fox Chase Cancer Center. 


Ostomy Support Group, March

The Ostomy support group meets every third Thursday of each month. An ostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an opening (a stoma) from an area inside the body to the outside. Examples of ostomies include colostomy and urostomy. If you or someone you know has an ostomy and could use a little extra help and support, please join us for a monthly psychoeducational support group.


Head and Neck Support Group, March

The Head and Neck support group meets the third Tuesday of every month. This monthly group offers education and support for patients who have completed or are currently undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or surgery for head & neck cancer. Family members are also welcome. Learn how others have dealt with cancer-related problems and share what has worked for you and your family. Educational services are provided by a speech therapist, clinical nurse specialist and social worker. 


Get Your Rear in Gear Philadelphia 2018

A team from Fox Chase Cancer Center will take part in the Philadelphia Get Your Rear in Gear 4-Mile Run/2-Mile Walk at Memorial Hall/Please Touch Museum on Saturday, March 24, to help raise colon cancer awareness and funds to support local efforts, including prevention, early detection, and treatment.


Breast Cancer Support Group, April
