REC Education Series: Whole-Person Cancer Care: Talking About Mental Health

Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Lippincott Resource & Education Center (REC) invites you to attend upcoming virtual free education sessions.

Presented by: Lauren A. Zimmaro, PhD, Post-Doctoral Associate, Cancer Prevention and Control Program

Emotional and mental health is an important part of cancer care, but can be hard to talk about. Lauren Zimmaro, PhD (licensed psychologist and behavioral scientist) will discuss some of common emotional concerns experienced by patients and survivors of cancer, and will provide some tips for both patients and clinicians for how to navigate talking about mental health in clinical settings.

These virtual sessions will discuss cancer prevention, screening, and treatment options. Participants will also learn ways to help themselves and family members make the best choices to improve their health and wellness. There will be opportunities to submit your questions prior to the virtual sessions or participate in a live Q&A.
