Date & Time
With events in more than 50 communities across the country, PanCAN PurpleStride 2026 will take place on Saturday, April 25, to support the efforts of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN). Fox Chase Cancer Center is proud to be a local sponsor of PurpleStride Philadelphia 2026, with a participating team led by captain Sanjay Reddy, MD, FACS, Associate Professor, Department of Surgery; Marvin S. Greenberg, MD, Chair in Pancreatic Cancer Surgery; and Co-Director, The Marvin and Concetta Greenberg Pancreatic Cancer Institute.
PurpleStride is PanCAN’s signature walk program, which raises funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer research, patient services, government advocacy, and community engagement. It is about cultivating hope, because a five-year survival rate of 13% is just not acceptable. By coming together, participants experience the inspiration of this day to celebrate survivors, honor those we lost, and turn the nation purple!
The Philadelphia event is being held at Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park, 43 South Concourse Dr. The Event Village opens at 6:30 a.m. and the Opening Ceremony begins at 7:15 a.m. with the walk getting underway at 8 a.m.
Registration is free, but fundraising is encouraged. To join Fox Chase’s PurpleStride team or to make a donation, please visit the Fox Chase team page.
