A Virtual Education Event For Patients, Caregivers, Health Professionals

Lung cancer research can help develop better treatments, identify how cancer cells becomes resistant to treatment, help increase survival and provide an improved quality of life for patients. Research can also help us identify who is at increased risk for cancer and provide a better and longer future for those diagnosed with lung cancer.  No two lung cancers are the same, and treatment options are based on what type of cancer you have, your stage of the disease and your lung cancer treatment goals. The American Lung Association and Fox Chase Cancer Center are pleased to offer this webinar on June 9, 2020 from 5:30 -6:00pm.

You are invited to learn more about transformative lung cancer scientific research and how it is impacting future care and treatments for patients.  Hear from Johnathan Whetstine, PhD, Professor, Program Leader, Cancer Epigenetics Program, Jack Schultz Chair in Basic Science and LUNG FORCE Funded Researcher;  Margie L. Clapper, PhD, Deputy Scientific Director, Professor and Co-Leader, Cancer Prevention and Control Program, and Dr. Hossein Borghaei, Chief, Division of Thoracic Medical Oncology, Professor, Department of Hematology/Oncology, Co-Director, Immune Monitoring Facility, and American Lung Association Lung Cancer Medical Advisory Panel.
