Library Instruction
Instruction
The Talbot Research Library offers one-on-one sessions to those who wish to learn the basics or even the finer points of database searching. We can help you choose the best databases, formuate and develop search strategies, find the evidence, and more. Because of space constraints, the maximum number of people we can have at an in-library training session is four. Groups of more than four people are asked to find and reserve space for a traning session. For more information about training sessions, or to schedule a class, email us at Lib_Reference@fccc.edu or phone us at (215) 728-2711. Click here for more information about our instructional services.
LibGuides
We have created LibGuides, subject-specific research guides, on numerous subjects, databases, and software like EndNote. These are designed to make finding and using library resources faster and easier. We can create custom guides for your department, lab, program, or research focus. For more information about our LibGuides, or if you would like us to create a a LibGuide for you, email us at Lib_Reference@fccc.edu or phone us at (215) 728-2711.
Publishing Assistance
Librarians are able to assist you with several aspects of the publication process. We can assist in a number of areas including identifying a list of journal titles for submission, help you deposit your final, approved manuscript into the NIH Manuscript Submission (NIHMS) system, EndNote output styles, copyright, NIH Public Access compliance, and citation tracking.
