PHILADELPHIA (December 27, 2022)—Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Lindsey B. Taylor, MD, as an assistant professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology and the Breast Cancer and Hematology Programs.

PHILADELPHIA (December 22, 2022)—The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Fox Chase Cancer Center are pleased to announce the hiring of Lucia Borriello, PhD, as an assistant professor in the Department of Cancer and Cellular Biology at Temple. In addition to her primary position at Temple, Borriello will hold a dual appointment in the Cancer Signaling and Epigenetics research program at Fox Chase.

These microorganisms, known as the microbiome, can consequently impact whether a patient develops cancer and how they respond to treatment.

PHILADELPHIA (December 7, 2022)—Racial disparities in head and neck cancer (HNC) survival are well documented, with Black patients experiencing twice the mortality rate of whites. Previous research has shown that demographic factors like socioeconomic status and access to healthcare play a role. A study published today by researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center suggests that independent of these factors, race itself may predict disparate outcomes between patients.
