PHILADELPHIA (May 8, 2018)—March Forth, a Colorectal Cancer Alliance prevention and screening initiative, today announced the launch of its Philadelphia colorectal cancer prevention program. Starting in Philadelphia, March Forth is mounting a national effort to attack colorectal cancer by driving up screening rates.

PHILADELPHIA  (May 7, 2018) – Eric Tetzlaff, MHS, PA-C, DFAAPA, a physician assistant at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has received the AAPA 2018 Publishing Award. His paper, “National Study of Burnout and Career Satisfaction among Physician Assistants in Oncology: Implications for Team-Based Care,” appears in the Journal of Oncology Practice.

PHILADELPHIA (April 23, 2018) — Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the awardees of the request for application (RFA) focused on translational clinical protocol development based on basic and preclinical research results. The grants were open to Fox Chase Cancer Center/Temple University member labs.

PHILADELPHIA (April 17, 2018) – In honor of National Oral, Head, and Neck Cancer Awareness Week (April 8–15), Fox Chase Cancer Center offered free head and neck screenings to individuals throughout the community. Our goal was to raise awareness on the risk factors and signs of these cancers. Head and neck cancer is used to describe many malignant tumors that develop in or around the throat, larynx (voice box), nose, sinuses and mouth.

BELTSVILLE, MD and PHILADELPHIA (April 17, 2018) – REPROCELL USA, a subsidiary of Japan’s REPROCELL, Inc., and Fox Chase, Ltd., a member of the Fox Chase Cancer Center family of organizations, have formed a joint venture to operate a multi-site bio-sample repository facility in India. 

PHILADELPHIA (April 12, 2018) – Joan Font-Burgada, PhD, assistant professor in the Cancer Biology program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, was named the winner of the 2018 Alumni of Excellence Award from his alma mater, the Institute for Research in Biomedicine Barcelona (IRB Barcelona).

PHILADELPHIA (April 9, 2018) — On Mother’s Day, many members of the Fox Chase Cancer Center community will come together to participate in Susan G. Komen Philadelphia’s 28th Annual Race for the Cure, a family-friendly 5K run/walk and one-mile fun walk.

PHILADELPHIA (April 5, 2018) – Sanjeevani Arora, PhD, assistant research professor in the Cancer Prevention and Control program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has been selected by the U.S. Department of Defense to receive the FY17 Peer Reviewed  Cancer Research Program (PRCRP) Career Development award for her work in colorectal cancer.
