Fox Chase Cancer Center Welcomes Israel Cañadas

PHILADELPHIA (October 22, 2019) – Fox Chase Cancer Center announces the hiring of Israel Cañadas, PhD, who will join the Blood Cell Development and Function Program as an assistant professor on the tenure track.

Cañadas received his PhD in biomedicine from Pompeu Fabra University and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Hospital del Mar d’Investigacions Mediques Institute, both in Barcelona, Spain. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the department of medical oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

He has also contributed a book chapter, been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and presented at multiple medical symposiums. Cañadas was also a Lung Cancer Research Foundation annual grant recipient.

Cañadas will begin his work at Fox Chase on November 1.
