Rosaleen B. Parsons Receives Distinguished Alumnae Award

PHILADELPHIA, PA (May 15, 2017) – Springside Chestnut Hill Academy has awarded Rosaleen B. Parsons, MD, its Distinguished Alumnae Award. Parsons is chair of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where she has worked since 1999.

As a diagnostic radiologist, Parsons consults closely with oncologists to diagnose, stage, and effectively treat a wide variety of cancer types. She is a Fellow of both the American College of Radiology and the Society of Abdominal Radiology.

The Springside Alumnae Association selected Parsons for the Distinguished Alumnae Award in recognition of her significant contributions to the field of medicine and her impact on the larger community.

Among other honors Parsons has earned throughout her career, she has been included in both America’s Top Doctors® and Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors consecutively from 2009-2017. She also is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the American Board of Radiology.

Parsons received this award at a ceremony on Saturday, May 13 during Springside Chestnut Hill Academy’s alumni reunion weekend.
