PHILADELPHIA (August 1, 2016) — Christopher J. Manley, MD, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as the director of interventional pulmonology in the Department of Medicine.

“Dr. Manley’s expertise in pulmonary medicine makes him the perfect candidate for our new director of interventional pulmonology,” said David S. Weinberg, MD, MSc, chair of the Department of Medicine at Fox Chase.

Manley will join Fox Chase after finishing his interventional pulmonology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston this summer.

Previously, he completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and an internal medicine residency at Loyola University in Chicago. In addition, Manley has participated in various medical and humanitarian missions, including travel to the Dominican Republic with the Institute for Latin American Concern’s ENT Clinic and to Zambia, Africa with Habitat for Humanity International.

“Fox Chase is a cancer center dedicated to excellence,” Manley said. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Dr. Weinberg and the rest of the pulmonology team.”
