James Duncan, PhD, Joins Fox Chase Cancer Center as an Assistant Professor in the Cancer Biology Program

PHILADELPHIA, PA (August 9, 2013)—James Duncan, PhD, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Cancer Biology Program as an Assistant Professor. He recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of North Carolina. His current work defines novel mechanisms for the rapid reprogramming of the kinome to targeted kinase inhibitors in preclinical models of triple negative breast cancer.

Dr. Duncan received his PhD from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He has received many accolades for his work, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Postdoctoral Fellowship; Collip Award for top thesis in the School of Medicine and Dentistry; Canadian Institutes of Health Research award and Strategic Training Program in Cancer Research Award.
