Hospitalist Manjula Sharada Naik, MD, Joins Fox Chase's Department of Medicine

PHILADELPHIA (August 10, 2010) – , has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Department of Medicine as an attending physician for the hospitalist program.

“It gives me immense pleasure to join the hospitalist group here at Fox Chase Cancer Center,” says Naik.  “I like my job as a hospitalist due to the continuity of care and also the wide exposure to acute cases. It gives me a tremendous opportunity to learn about medicine.”

Naik comes to Fox Chase from Brandywine Hospital.  She completed her internal medicine residency in 2007 at Forest Hills Hospital in New York.  Within internal medicine, Naik is particularly interested in oncology and the field of new drug treatments.

“Working here at Fox Chase gives me exposure to drug treatments, infusion protocol, palliative care and end of life issues,” she says.
Naik is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  She earned her M.B.B.S. from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India.
