  • Surgery: Fox Chase surgeons are highly experienced in lung cancer surgery, from biopsies to lobectomies, pneumonectomies, resections and more. We perform many surgeries using minimally invasive robotic, endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques.
  • Radiation Therapy: Fox Chase radiation oncologists have used and helped develop some of today’s most advanced radiation techniques that are quickly becoming the standard of care for lung cancer patients. For example, hypofractionation enables patients to safely and effectively complete radiation therapy much faster than conventional treatments.
  • Personalized Systemic Therapy: Medical oncologists at Fox Chase have extensive expertise in developing systemic therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient's disease or tumor biology. Our lung cancer specialists use targeted therapy, immunotherapy, chemotherapy and clinical trials to formulate a comprehensive, patient-centered and team-based plan for each individual.

As a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, Fox Chase works with you to create a personalized treatment plan aimed at providing the best possible outcome. In addition, our doctors expand their treatment offerings as clinical trials at Fox Chase and elsewhere to drive new and effective treatments for lung cancer.

Our lung cancer team takes a multidisciplinary approach to treating cancer, including diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. We draw on the experience of physicians and other clinical staff in surgical oncology, hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, plastic surgery, radiology, pathology and nurse navigation. These teams work together to diagnose your condition and help you make informed decisions about your treatment.

Additionally, for patients who are at risk but have not yet been diagnosed with lung cancer, our team includes highly skilled and dedicated advanced practice providers who will help you through your initial journey, including screenings.
