Ride your bike, run, or walk! Take part in person or virtually. It’s your choice on Saturday, May 16, as Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk gets underway to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer research and care. Fox Chase Cancer Center - Temple Health is a Gold Sponsor and will have a team at this family-friendly event led by team captain Saumya Maru, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology. All are welcomed to join (even pets!).
The event will take place at The Park at 4th, located at the intersection of 4th and Mill Streets in Quakertown, Pa. On-site registration begins at 7 a.m. followed by the various activity options—from 33-mile and 24-mile bike rides beginning at 8 a.m. to a 5K run and walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. In addition, the Arts Alive! Fine Arts & Crafts Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring artists, crafters, live entertainment, kids’ activities, food, and more, at this location.
Funds raised benefit pancreatic cancer research programs and compassionate care initiatives through the Pancreatic Cancer Cure Foundation. To date, research recipients constitute the bulk of the foundation’s funding support and include Fox Chase Cancer Center.
