Fox Chase Cancer Center is once again supporting the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation as a teal sponsor of Sandy Sprint Philadelphia being held this year on Saturday, April 25. Denise Connolly, PhD, Associate Professor and Associate Chief Scientific Officer, and Gina Mantia-Smaldone, MD, Associate Professor, Department of Surgery and Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program Director, will serve as the Fox Chase team co-captains.
This well-regarded annual event will take place at the Philadelphia Navy Yard – Marine Parade Grounds from 7 to 11 a.m. The event features a 5K run/walk, Survivor Ceremony, performances by the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale and the Mummers Fralinger String Band, and much more. It is a day of action, hope, and connection to support women and families affected by ovarian cancer and to raise funds to advance research.
