Information About the Bone Marrow Transplantation Program for Healthcare Professionals

Patient Eligibility

In general, a patient must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a bone marrow transplant at the Fox Chase–Temple Bone Marrow Transplant Program:

  • Adequate organ function without significant co-morbidity
  • Adequate psychosocial support

Referrals

The Fox Chase–Temple Bone Marrow Transplant Program welcomes your patients with hematologic malignancies. Our team accepts patients for leukemic inductions as well as those ready for transplant. We always appreciate seeing patients early in their treatment in order to help triage their illness from a transplant perspective.

When you refer a patient, our transplant coordinator team will provide guidance and gather the information required to process your request and schedule an appointment. For specific questions about a referral patient, you may contact our physicians directly. We can answer questions about eligibility or the potential next best course of action outside transplant considerations.
