Research Program and Lab Contributions
As a member of Dr. Fleisher’s Lab, I contribute to research aimed at improving patient care by addressing stigma and enhancing tobacco cessation efforts. I have worked on the NCI Cancer Center Cessation Initiative (C3I), gaining experience in building and implementing research studies, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and presenting findings at national and international conferences. With the support of Dr. Fleisher and Donna Edmondson, CRNP, I have incorporated stigma measures into the Tobacco Treatment Program to capture patients’ experiences of stigma related to tobacco use.
I collaborate with Dr. Fleisher on the Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Implementation Science Workgroup, where we focus on embedding evidence-based, judgment-free cessation services into clinical practice. My broader research efforts aim to promote person-centered care by ensuring that interventions are responsive to patients’ lived experiences and reduce the impact of stigma on care quality.
