Bio

Alex Khariton, MBA, serves as Chief Operating Officer of Fox Chase Cancer Center and Senior Vice President for Cancer Services across Temple Health. He oversees clinical operations at Fox Chase’s main campus and satellite locations, as well as integrated cancer services across the health system, with a focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, and strengthening connectivity between clinical care and research in partnership with Temple University and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine.

Khariton brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Jefferson Health, where he led major clinical program expansions, advanced cellular therapy and theranostics initiatives, strengthened system-wide oncology operations, and oversaw efforts that achieved the highest staff engagement and satisfaction scores across the health system. During his tenure, he also played a key role in ambulatory expansion planning and enterprise electronic medical record implementation to enhance standardization and clinical trial accrual.

He began his career as a radiation therapist and later served as Administrative Director of Radiation Oncology at Cooper University Hospital. Khariton earned his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a graduate of the Wharton School Leadership Development Program. He has also served as an adjunct professor in radiological sciences, healthcare economics, and technology. He is actively engaged in national professional organizations and currently serves on the Code Utilization & Application Committee (CUAC) of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and on the Patient Support Advisory Council (PSAC) of the American Cancer Society.
