Fox Chase Cancer Center Proudly Supports Miles for Melanoma Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (August 6, 2020) - As part of its never-ending commitment to community health, Fox Chase Cancer Center proudly supports Miles for Melanoma 2020 in Philadelphia. The Melanoma Research Foundation is adhering to social distancing guidelines and making the 5k run/walk virtual this year.

Fox Chase faculty and staff, volunteers, patients, survivors, and their families will continue to work to raise money for skin cancer research, education, and awareness.

“Those who have participated in Miles for Melanoma in the past show that no patient is alone in the fight against it, and the charitable donations pave the way for research,” said Jeffrey M. Farma, MD, FACS, chief of general surgery and co-director of the Melanoma and Skin Cancer Program. Farma will serve as the Fox Chase team captain.

To make a donation, access more information, or sign up to be a member of Fox Chase’s team, visit https://www.foxchase.org/events/miles-melanoma. Registration to participate is $35 and will include a ticket to the Philadelphia Zoo. The admission ticket can be used within the year.
