PHILADELPHIA (October 3, 2017) – Fox Chase Cancer Center will host its 18^th annual Paws for the Cause dog walk on Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 9:00 am to 12 pm.

PHILADELPHIA (October 2, 2017) – October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a time to celebrate the more than 3.1 million breast cancer survivors across the U.S. The Fox Chase Cancer Center stresses the importance of getting regular screening tests for breast cancer, which is the most reliable way to find breast cancer early.

PHILADELPHIA (October 2, 2017) – Fox Chase Cancer Center is the local presenting sponsor of the 2017 Miles for Melanoma Philadelphia. The run/walk starts at 8 a.m. at the Philadelphia Zoo on Saturday, Oct. 7. Check-in and registration begin at 7:00 am.

PHILADELPHIA (September 27, 2017) – An analysis led by researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center in collaboration with the European Organization for the Research and Treatment of Cancer found that treating cancer that has metastasized to the brain with focal, high-dose radiation yields improved early results compared with surgical removal. 

PHILADELPHIA (September 26, 2017) – Philadelphia philanthropist Concetta “Chet” Greenberg has made a transformational gift to create The Marvin and Concetta Greenberg Pancreatic Cancer Institute at Fox Chase Cancer Center.  It is the largest single gift in Fox Chase’s 113-year history.

PHILADELPHIA (September 25, 2017) – In a trial of whether a modified method of radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer would more effectively preserve men’s sexual function, researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center found no statistically significant benefit.

Adams will collaborate with several research teams, including those working on drug development and epigenetics.
