The event will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry being awarded for the discovery of ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation. Much of that work was done at Fox Chase.

Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Alycia So, MD, as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Breast Surgery in the Department of Surgery. The addition of So to the department now expands the rapidly growing Division of Breast Surgery to six full-time breast surgeons, adding to its continued growth across the health system.

PHILADELPHIA (September 6, 2024) — In a study published today in the prestigious journal Cell, researchers from Fox Chase Cancer Center and Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center showed changes that occur with age in male skin fibroblasts contributed to an increase in the spread of melanoma cells and made cancer cells resistant to targeted therapy.
