About Uterine Sarcoma
Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that can affect the bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels and other supportive tissue. Uterine sarcomas refer to cancer cells that develop in the muscles of the uterine wall or the supporting connective tissues.
Uterine sarcomas, including carcinosarcomas, leiomyosarcomas, and endometrial stromal sarcomas, make up less than 5% of uterine cancers.
